Tesco backs RITE Group
Thursday, 08 July 2010

Tesco LONDON - Retail giant Tesco will back this year's RITE Group conference on sustainable textiles in London as the UK not-for-profit organisation starts to move up another gear.

Tesco's support for the conference in London will enable RITE - staffed completely by expert textile industry volunteers - to complete a number of initiatives while at the same time remain completely independent and objective.

This year's conference has been given a major boost by the Ethical Fashion Forum (EFF) which will run its Ethical Fashion Sourcing Marketplace exhibition alongside the RITE Group event. EFF expect 1,000 visitors throughout the day, which will maximise the networking opportunity for RITE delegates and exhibitors.

Former Organic Exchange director Simon Ferrigno has also recently joined the RITE Group steering committee. Simon brings with him a vast level of experience in the cotton sector especially in terms of agricultural knowledge. He also adds to RITE a broad insight into other areas of the sustainable cotton sector along with expertise in supply chain development, policy and market development.
